The Plume, Keystone College’s literary and arts magazine, is produced over the course of an entire academic year by undergraduate students, and published annually in April. The magazine features poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and photography created by students and other members of the Keystone College community.

The Plume sponsors a various events during the fall semester, and a launch party near the end of the spring term, when The Plume issues are printed and distributed. At the party, Plume contributors read samples of their written work, and/or talk about their artistic contributions.

In addition to the end-of-year party, Plume events also have included poetry readings, a write-a-thon, and a Halloween-themed “Spooky Creations” contest.

The 2022-23 edition also had several contributors featured on a Plume-themed podcast produced by student and Plume designer Elizabeth Franzo.

History of The Plume

Started in the 1980s by the late Keystone College professors Susan R. Ide and Karen Blomain, the Plume Literary Magazine has published more than 50 issues.
