重点大学 has renamed its Keystone Commons Residence Hall to honor President Emeritus Dr. 爱德华G. 小波姆. and former Keystone First Lady Regina E. 波姆.

boehm-residence-hall-signKeystone Commons has officially been renamed The Dr. 爱德华G. 波姆和夫人. Regina E. 波姆宿舍. The college plans to make a variety of student-centered renovations to the residence hall in the coming months, thanks to a contribution from a generous donor. The Keystone community will officially celebrate the renaming with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this summer. The suite-style resident hall, 容纳60名学生, was built in 2001 under President 波姆’s leadership.

The 波姆s’ Leadership

boehms-portraitPresident 波姆 began his Keystone tenure in 1995 and remained as president through June 2013. 在他的领导下, Keystone became a baccalaureate college in 1998 and granted its first bachelor’s degree in 2000. 从那时起, the college has progressed steadily, adding academic programs, 硕士学位, and a wide variety of new and updated facilities.

总统夫妇. 波姆 were well known for their optimistic attitude and genuine friendship, particularly their personal interest in all Keystone students. President 波姆 was often quoted as saying, “We know our students not only by their names but by their dreams.”

总统夫妇. 波姆 have been respected leaders in the community, taking active roles in many civic and community organizations. They jointly received the B’nai B’rith Amos Lodge No.136 Americanism Award and served as co-chairs for the United Way of Lackawanna County 2003-2004 Campaign Fund Drive.

President 波姆 served on the United Way of Lackawanna County Board of Directors, President of Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations, as a board member of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute Advisory Board, and Tyler Memorial Hospital, 在许多其他方面.

夫人. 波姆 served as a board member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, 东北剧院, Boys and Girls Club of Scranton, and as president of the Philharmonic League of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Among many community awards, she received the Roseann Smith Alperin Award from the Junior League of Scranton. 夫人. 波姆 received a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and is a graduate of executive series of Leadership Lackawanna and Leadership Wilkes-Barre.

在Keystone之前, President 波姆 was a senior vice president for institutional advancement at Marshall University in West Virginia. He held senior administrative positions at American University and Texas Christian University. He has a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland and a master’s degree and doctorate from American University.

总统夫妇. 波姆 currently reside in the Richmond, Va. area. They are the parents of two sons, 埃文和妻子梅丽莎, and Andrew and wife Sarah, and grandparents of Grant Edward 波姆 and Catherine Beckett 波姆.
